Pittsburgh Online And Cyber Crimes on the Rise

Online and Cyber Crimes

Pittsburghs Internet and Online Cyber Crime Attorneys

In recent online study conducted by internet security provider Norton, maker of the security software Symantec, Pittsburgh ranked #17 out of 50 cities for cyber crime. Norton analyzed data for each city including the number of cyberattacks and potential infections (data provided by Symantec Security Response), level of Internet access, expenditures on computer hardware and software, wireless hotspots, broadband connectivity, Internet usage and online purchases.

Pittsburgh offers a uniques environment for computer users. With so many of the Universities and technical schools located within the city limits of Pittsburgh, the number of computer users is inflated.
Many restaurants, coffee shops, and book stores offer free wireless access points making it easy to get connected to the internet anywhere at anytime.

The range of online and cyber crimes is growing as quick as the internet itself. Online or cyber stalking, wirefraud, identity theft, child pornography, and cyber bullying are some of the crimes that can be associated to cyber crime.

If you have been charged or suspected of a cyber crime, know your rights. Contact a attorney who concentrates in defending people charged with computer crime or cybercrime offenses.
